Anyone who was lucky enough to grow up near a beach knows that sea glass is a real hot commodity. I have fond memories of scouring the shores of Lake Huron for pieces of sea glass and thinking about all of the different ways I could use my new treasures to decorate my room. I was always a big planner, but a poor follow-througher–I’m an Aries, after all–so my collections never made it beyond the Ziploc bags I stored them in.
Fortunately, there are many designers who have managed to transform simple pieces of sea glass into beautiful rings, bracelets, and necklaces. For your viewing pleasure, I rounded up 11 of my favorite pieces of sea glass jewelry on the market today. Let me know what you think of my picks in the comments below.
Sea glass ring
This beautiful gold ring was made for the girl who knows that if she were a witch, she’d be sorted into Slytherin. Own it, babe.
Sea glass gold cuff
I love this cuff–love the white piece of sea glass, love the gold bangle, love the wiring.
Sea glass sterling silver ring
If the ring above was made for a Slytherin, then consider this sleek silver and blue piece for the Ravenclaw in your life.
White sea glass earrings
These simple sea glass stud earrings would make a great gift for a beach lover.
Sea glass necklace
The sea glass in this necklace was collected from the shores of Vashon Island, located in the Puget Sound region off the coast of Washington state.
Teal sea glass earrings
I love the color of the sea glass pieces on these stud earrings. Anne of Green Gables fans will be pleased to learn that pieces were collected from the shores of a beach in Prince Edward Island.
Sea glass bracelet
This wire-wrapped bangle would be the perfect addition to your bracelet collection.
Amber sea glass ring
There’s a pretty good chance that those two pieces of amber-colored sea glass used to be part of a beer bottle, which just goes to show you that the old saying is true: beauty begets beauty!
Sea glass necklace
This necklace is so pretty, and the price point is fantastic. If you love the design but not the color, you’re in luck: the artist makes the same necklace using a variety of different pieces of sea glass.
Sea glass ring
There’s something really rustic about this gold and green ring (and no, it’s not just the piece of driftwood that the ring is resting on). Whatever it is, I like it.
Sea glass bracelet
Bet you didn’t expect to see a piece like this on a sea glass jewelry shopping guide! There’s so much going on here, and all of it is so unexpected–the braid! The gold chain!–but it just works.
